of workshops for 2005
The
Sub-Commission on Lay Ministry (SCOLM) visits each Deanery during
the year to conduct worshops. Various ministries and topics
are discussed at these workshops such as Eucharistic Visitor,
Preaching, Centering Prayer, and a history of the sacraments.
The seminars are like graduate courses for ministers, meant
to deepen and broaden understanding, raise questions and encourage
thought and discussion. Licensed Ministers are required to attend
workshops 2 out of 3 years to keep their license current. However,
you may attend ANY of the seminars to keep your license current.
Another benefit of attendance is to meet and learn from people
from other churches in the Deanery. The cost to attend is $16.00
and covers lunch and the cost of handouts
