Hippocampus Bowl

This 8 inch bowl is covered with three mythological creatures. The hippocampus was a half-horse half-sea creature reported in ancient European times. This cloisonné enamel was done on a dare from my students who claimed that tiny white opaque dots on a perfectly dark transparent background was too difficult to attempt. Silver cloisonné on copper.
